The aim of the Citizens Advice Bureau is to help people in a constructive way with their problems and to ensure that people who need help aregiven enough information and assistance so that they can make an informed decision in order to resolve their problems. CAB operates a free, independent, and impartial service, advising on welfare benefits, housing, debt, family and personal issues, immigration,health, disability, education, tax, employment, consumer issues and many more related subjects.

Opening hours: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays 10am - 12.30pm and 1pm - 3.30pm You may either phone or drop in during these times. CAB phones tend to be very busy and you may find it difficult to get through. CAB also offers a range ofspecialist services, with a weekly rota of: Solicitors, Consumer affairs, Accountants, Trading standards, Money advice As CAB offers a generic advice service and support for other specialist agencies, this is a good place to start if you have a problem.
The Housing Aid Centre (Shelter)
The Housing Aid Centre provides free, confidential, impartial and independent advice and assistance to anyone who has a housing problem or a difficulty. The Centre's work includes: mortgage arrears, landlord/ tenant problems, housing benefits, homelessness

Samaritans
The Samaritans is a nationwide charity which exists to provide confidential emotional support to any person who is in a crisis, despairing or suicidal.You can talk to the Samaritans about anything that is troubling you. The Samaritans don't give advice, they don't judge, they just give people the time and space to express their feelings and exploreoptions in total confidence.

Welfare Rights Group
Milton Keynes Welfare Rights Group provides independent, confidential and free advice on all matters relating to social security benefits. This includes: income support, housing benefit, council tax benefit, benefits for children, incapacity benefit The Welfare Rights Group try to maximise people's income by checking to see what benefits they can claim. They also represent people at all social security appeal tribunals and at Housing BenefitReviews.
